Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Administrative Support
Organize own work, sets priorities and meets critical deadlines; ensures that such deadlines are met by other staff.
Provide technical/administrative support to Reservoir Development team.
Support technical and engineering personnel with project support duties.
Compile and issue technical reports on behalf of the team.
Prepare accurate records and reports with minimum input to technical studies/research projects, technical reports, project planning, etc.
Participate in data analysis, identify and investigate variations or trends in data.
Prepares technical datasheets and documents under the direction of the engineers.
Develop and maintain technical databases and spreadsheets.
Create, organize and source technical documentation as per job requirements; engineering job requests, presentations, SOW, drawings, maps, logs as per requirements from RD team.
Problem solve and work-around managing tight deadlines.
Supervise and manage digitizing, copying and scanning of technical documentation as requested - keep a record and ensure the relevant paperwork.
Assist with required documentation for vendor pre-qualifications, technical evaluations, and vendor submissions and contracts/purchasing requirements.
Communication and Coordination
Close interaction with Reservoir development manager and other team members including the team in the field. When required also to liaise with various departmental managers & internal staff members for routine activities.
Act as a Coordinator and be the focal point for any technical administrative tasks in the department under the supervision of the Department Manager.
Ability to work as part of a team, and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently self-starting ability, monitoring progress towards deliverables and adjusting activities as needed to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Maintain effective working relationships and develop a solid understanding of the data being manipulated.
Coordinate and follow-up on RD studies, projects and worked being carried out by third party or local vendors.
Act as a coordinator and focal point for any technical administrative tasks in the department under the supervision of the Reservoir Development Manager.
Lead and facilitate internal/external audits as per government and organizational audit requirements.
Act as focal point for providing data as per audit/surveillance requests.
Others (Department related duties)
Interaction with HR department, engineering, drilling, projects and any other subsurface team members including the team in the field. When required also to liaise with various departmental managers & internal staff members for routine activities.
HSE Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensure HSE working culture is present in reservoir development team.
Maintain individual and team compliance which adheres to the company HSE Policy and procedure.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
Five years’ relevant experience (Oil & Gas experience is preferred).
General Supervision: Some delegation of responsibility, some independence of routine matters. Incumbents exercise some control over both the technical and administrative aspects of work. Objectives may be set for the position, but the incumbent often works independently.
The analytical skill required (What is the complexity or standardization of the tasks which are performed?)
Complex: Work is typically varied within the subject area and complex, but standardized. Responsibility is limited, but some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Other work teams are impacted by the work performed in this position.
