Job Summary: The IT Procurement In-Charge will establish and implement IT procurement and IT strategic sourcing processes and practices within GCC and LEVANT. Lead corporate-wide IT Procurement initiatives within region. Optimize the number and development of a diverse supply base. Improve supplier qualification and performance management practices. Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts and service level agreements. Expertise in vendor and procurement management, support operational requirements and develop strong Relationships with vendors and the Groups division.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the procurement team toward smooth procurement operation, excellent customer service experience and constant cost saving approach.
Possess, maintain and update Strong IT technical related knowledge
Constantly Optimize the vendor management process & procurement policy then ensure strict adherence to the same
Revisit all contracts / Conduct supplier and subcontractor analysis, evaluate potential new suppliers, and manage the overall supplier qualification process, as required / / suggest changes and potential savings over 3 years
Drive and maintain global contract agreement and constantly optimize toward favorable terms and conditions
Able to negotiate entity contracts with most favorable terms to benefit the company, ensure all IT equipment are purchased at the most competitive price at appropriate quality and delivered on time as agreed
Set up and maintain a control framework to ensure all procurement activities are effectively managed and in accordance the Procurement Toolkit and the annual budget
Partner with and influence internal business partners from project initiation through project closure to insure early involvement and optimal use of procurement and supplier tools, processes, systems and best practices.
Observe and evaluate industry trends, market conditions, and benchmarks of contract negotiations expectations against industry best practices standards
Actively manage vendors to ensure we access the best products at the best price
Forecast level of demand for materials, equipment & services to meet business needs and maintain constant checks on stock level to maximize business efficiency, instigating minimum stock levels and reorder quantities by product as appropriate best practice standards.
Administer establishment of annual Agreements/Contracts in coordination with the respective division and Legal department
Monitor the delivery/implementation of the purchased materials and equipment in coordination with vendors and the respective divisions.
Automate all procurement activities within the available software (Oracle) wherever applicable and apply the company DOA for all procurement i.e. workflow
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must hold a University Degree or Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Business or Supply Chain Management-Logistics.
Preferably a member of a recognized purchasing institute (CIPS qualified)
At least five to seven years of high level of affinity and experience with Business computing solutions, ideally also with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft… Preferably Regional GCC experience of 1-2 years
Strong working knowledge of IT service providers, IT contracts
Preferably experienced in a large commercial organization in the middle management. The job holder must have a proven track record of analytical decision-making, with strong commercial acumen. He/she must have proven organizational and negotiation skills.
