Job Summary: As a graduate in the Assurance practice of a PwC firm in the Middle East region, you’ll learn and develop the specialist skills our clients look for and value most. For Core Assurance this will include studying towards a professional qualification, with support from us all the way. As well as gaining valuable work experience, you will work towards the Chartered Accountancy qualification in your first years at PwC. You'll study towards gaining the ACA qualification with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or towards gaining a CPA qualification (Certified Public Accountant), towards the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), or a SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants). For Risk Assurance Services, this will include studying towards a professional qualification. We encourage our graduates to develop specialisms in their particular areas of interest this can be anything from financial audit support to information security, ERP controls, and business continuity planning reviews. A full-time graduate position in our Assurance practice will provide you with the opportunity to work on client accounts, using our innovative auditing methodology, and provide additional business advisory services, including performance measurement and corporate reporting, to meet the needs of investors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidates for the UAE job placements must be fresh graduates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, IT or related fields.
The jobholder should demonstrate a business level knowledge of English when communicating (both written and orally), as well as typically exhibiting the following knowledge and skills:
High degree of self motivation, confidence and a strong work ethic
Successful performance within team environments, enjoying being part of a team
Proven ability to work and deliver under pressure and within tight deadlines
Excellent data handling skills and the ability to gather information and present it in a professional manner
Flexibility, adaptability and effective prioritisation skills
Knowledge and experience of the Middle East Region is a definite advantage
Flexibility to travel and to work at client sites during the week
Verbal communication skills in Arabic are useful but not essential
Excellent IT & Microsoft office skills especially Excel and powerpoint
