Job Summary: The Product Development Manager (Smart City) will deliver against Dubai Pulse’s business development needs, to actively source new means, to expand Dubai Pulse’s product line to increase revenue stream. The role holder needs to develop products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tasked with the management of product meeting for exceeding margin and sales plans.
  • Responsible for design, development and execution of new products which includes:
  • Liaising with stakeholders of proposed new product
  • Monitoring, tracking and organizing of all approved proposed new product samples and collect costs
  • Accurately complete product set up requirements and all related documents
  • Work to ensure product specifications are accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with marketing team for product catalogs, new products, sell sheets, and launch programs of product
  • Understand competitive marketplace for product and document competitive cross references
  • Sales monitoring
  • Emphasis on Smart City Products in terms of supporting on the development of the ecosystem and fronting all commercial engagement.
  • The position is for a period of 6 months extendable.
  • The role holder must ensure alignment with the Director Business Development at all times.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the UAE job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering degree, preferably an MBA
  • At least ten to fifteen years of experience in related work area, with practical financial modeling, research, reporting, product development and cross-team management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the new revenue streams within Smart City.
  • Proficiency in developing PowerPoint presentations and Excel models.
  • Proficiency in reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and external clients
  • Critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; superior attention to detail
  • Time management skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time frames
  • High standard of personal motivation
  • Strong attention to details and the ability to manage cross-functional streams.
  • Excellent understanding of the business area and products that are at the forefront of technological advances
