Job Summary: The Vocational Qualifications Development Manager will be responsible for promoting Pearson Vocational Qualifications, identifying, developing, managing and growing key accounts in the Vocational Education segment of the Gulf & Levant territory. This role reports into the Head of Vocational Qualifications for Gulf & Levant and is part of the Qualifications business alongside other lines of business (Schools, Higher Education and ELT) and it’s supported by the Sales Operations (Customer Service, Pricing, etc.) and Portfolio Management. The main objective of this role is to achieve sales targets, execute the sales strategy,and identify scalable opportunities in order to deliver revenue growth andincrease market share across the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote Pearson’s Vocational Qualifications (BTEC, LCCI, Pearson Assured, NCCER) and its services to all Vocational Education Institutions in the assigned countries of Gulf& Levant territory.
Provide customers with a range of support, advisory, training and development services to support sales growth.
Secure targeted growth against agreed targets, through maintaining existing business, developing opportunities within existing customer base for upselling or crossselling Pearson products.
Collaborate with other account managers within the Line of Business or with others to upsell/cross-sell Pearson products and services.
Use Sales Force on daily basis to build an effective sales pipeline through entering sales opportunities and analyzing data on a variety of critical business drivers.
Build relationships at all levels of the customers’ organization to identify sales opportunities, networking and fact-finding to drive achievement of plans and objectives
Develop trusted advisor relationships to influence key stakeholders of vocational qualifications in the assigned territory including government, non-government organizations and vocational institutions to position Pearson as the preferred education solutions provider
Maintain regular communication and conduct annual business review with the assigned key accounts
Proactively keep up to date on industry and customer specific issues
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher educational background
At least two years of experience in vocational education environment
Familiar with the British/Pearson’s Vocational Qualifications (BTEC,LCCI, Pearson Assured, NCCER)
Proven record of successful sales and marketing strategy implementation in international markets with diverse cultures.
Previous experience working with a complex global organisation environment with multiple sales channels.
A natural salesperson.A rational, assertive and confident individual who can persuade customers and articulate business needs to management
Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills, including historical sales analysis ,pricing, and forecasting.
Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills plus an ability to operate in a matrix-reporting environment.
Able to operate effectively alone, and to work through challenges independently, as well as part of a multi-country team
Excellent spoken and written command of English (and Arabic preferably).
