Job Summary: The LV Supervisor (Facility Management) requires a “hands on approach” by which the Electrical Supervisor-LV shall be actively involved in all operational aspects to ensure that standards are followed. The role is not an office bound one, moreover it’s a role in which the Electrical Supervisor-LV is expected to continually “walk the floor” ensuring all stakeholders expectations are met via accumulating intimate knowledge of the building and all associated plant and equipment within the buildings. The role of Electrical Supervisor-LV is to ensure that all low voltage systems needs are met throughout TDM by utilising his competencies acquired from both formal training and on the job learning. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring they follow all lawful directions and instructions, utilise PPE and safety equipment provided for tasks, carry out tasks in a safe and effective way to meet applicable standards. The Electrical Supervisor-LV carries out his work to a high standard that maintains the attractiveness of TDM by properly supervising the appointed service provider’s activities on site.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance & Controls LV
LV Equipment & Maintenance
Building Plant Equipment Maintenance (Emergency response).
Establish and maintain relationship with authorities, clients and stakeholders in the conduct of duty.
Co-ordinate with other disciplines to perform maintenance both planned and corrective.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a recognised Electrical qualification – Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering or Commensurate trade with relevant experience (3 years minimum)
Demonstrated experience in Supervisor’s role.
Good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) practices and procedures
A high level of knowledge regarding materials, methods and the tools involved in electrical/electronic installations.
Possess a good working knowledge of Electrical/Electronics Operations and Maintenance
Knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices and policies.
Sound level of written and spoken English in order to comprehend briefings and directions from supervisors and communicate with other workers on site.
Critical attention to detail and quality.
Basic IT skills
Ability to work under pressure and to remain focused as well as demonstrating a determination to provide a safe and functional environment for customers.
A preparedness to work shifts (day and night)
Ability to prepare reports and procedures and strategic assessments that support property operations and will meet the clients’ needs.
