Job Summary: The Communications Intern will be reporting to the Head of Communications. He/she should be supporting the communications team for all internal and external communications programs, projects and initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Helping implement communications projects, initiatives and events
Drafting and editing materials and communications copy
Collecting data and maintaining databases
Work collaboratively with all departments to promote their events and activities.
Coordinate with and manage agencies and third parties.
Support all the admin and logistics requirements for the communications department
Assists with and/or handles photo shoots, interviews (print and broadcast), film shoots and radio remotes.
Ensure that all material has granted all the internal and external approvals required.
Support in events management
Develop documentation for the department material
Update databases and coverage reports
Maintain calendars and appointments
Prepare presentations and reports
Manage online channels
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations or related fields
One to two years of experience in Communications related fields.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral forms.
Candidate should be a social media literate and able to communicate through different Social Media/Online channels.
Excellent writing and speaking skills in addition to strong reading comprehension
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, deadline and detailed oriented, creative, multi-task and can handle high stress situations.
Ability to work in a team
Computer Skills, must but not limited to MS Office applications.
