Job Summary: The Product Manager - Payment Transaction Services develops product strategies and roadmaps for Payment Transaction Services, for the MEA region, to execute and ensure maximum penetration of market segments. Manage and maintain existing product lines on an on-going basis. Conduct opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts. Provides design specifications for product enhancements to Product Development and eventually customer delivery, key focus on handover and integration with Customer Delivery. Defines business and technical requirements, and manages the relationships of technical resources and the technology organization to maintain and build out product capabilities with adherence to the internal product management framework.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, customers’ product strategy, region conditions, and industry characteristics as they relate to products and platforms offerings
Leads the product expansion of current capabilities to improve existing services, particularly in response to regional trends
Develop strategy for, and possible enhancements to, product offerings in coordination with Product Development, customers and third parties
Responsible for idea generation; concept validation; and business case development for existing products
Apply market research and conduct opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts and communicate them to Product Development
Develop and implement programs and initiatives in adherence with internal product management processes to increase card issuance in both established and emerging markets
Oversee the planning, development and design of product marketing strategy from product decision through end of life cycle
Lead the development of product collateral to ensure seamless customer deliver handover
Build relationships with product groups, customer delivery, account and sales management to garner feedback for development of MasterCard products
Work with regional and global staff to ensure maximum penetration of strategic markets.
Collaborate with sales and account resources in support of product life cycle requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience. Some advanced education desirable
Previous experience in product management, product development, customer delivery, product marketing, or business development in financial services and/or bankcard industry preferred.
Management experience desirable
Knowledge of the MEA Cards/Processing market essential
Knowledge of product management principles and product development lifecycle desirable
Ability to interact and coordinate effectively with internal and external business partners
Ability to effectively manage multiple functions
Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results to the customer and MasterCard
Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
