Job Summary: The Senior Planner - Estimation will be tasked with the preparation of bills of quantities and cost plans for Work-Winning projects. Securing of a profitable work stream for the business by ensuring that bids are prepared in a timely manner, are attractive to our customers, and meet the company’s requirements. Operating in an as efficient a manner as possible by promoting consistent practices, utilizing information technology and using feedback from actual projects.Seeking to improve competitiveness by innovative thinking. Engaging all disciplines into the work winning process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Implementation of company practices in tendering.
Preparation of bills of quantities using recognized formats (e.g. POMI & CESMM)
Prepare mini bills of quantities for temporary works and value engineering
Preparation of cost plans using historical cost data, quotations from specialist subcontractors
Liaison with external consultants.
Liaise with procurement regarding suppliers and subcontractors.
Investigate Value Engineering options and recommend solution, based on cost, quality and availability.
Prepare bench marking and cost plan comparisons
Fulfill the role of bid Manager; including coordination and supervision of others
Advise on finalization matters of risk, qualification and margin.
Integrate planning, budgeting and cost analysis activities
Liaises with project management on implementation issues
Monthly reporting and forecasting
Develop bar chart program including WBS & recovery program
To identify risks and temporary work requirements and defend your assumptions
Assist in tracking variations
Develop production outputs and workability for various tasks
Develop contract program time entitlement program
Identity & develop variation /extension of time documentation
Responsible of monitoring all deliverables (design , Prelims ,Construction).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Senior Planner - Estimation must hold a Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil)
At least ten to sixteen years of related work experience
