Job Summary: The Development Engineer (Aircraft Maintenance Programmes) will oversee, manage and provide all activities concerned with the development and production of Aircraft Maintenance Programme. This will include the development to encompass needs both in the long and short term, of the airline maintenance planning and aircraft maintenance development. This role is responsible for providing development of the AMP to increase reliability, reduce costs and achieve greater aircraft utilisation. The role is also considered fundamental to be a liaison role within the Airbus user AMP working group including interface with the MSG steering group.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasked with ensuring that the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) is controlled, managed and developed as required by the continuous airworthiness requirements of the regulator, OEM and Air Arabia reliability programme.
Ensuring that the AMP is maintained in an optimized condition for Air Arabia operation
Working with Maintenance Planners in relation to work packaging in order to ensure that the maintenance planned enables optimum aircraft availability to support the operational flying programme and efficient and cost effective planning of maintenance
Working with the reliability section to ensure that the recommendations introduced into the AMP both in relation to escalation and de-escalation are appropriate
Responsible for effective task card management associated with AMP
Responsible for coordinating regular meetings required for the management of AMP
Responsible for AMP alignment with respect to the phase-in and phase-out of aircraft and assist in the development of associated work scopes during the delivery and lease return process
Development of procedures associated with the management of AMP
Liaising with the regulator as required for the management of the approval of AMP
Representing Air Arabia at industry meetings in respect to the management and development of AMP
Providing out of hours support when requested, ensuring safe, punctual, efficient and cost effective operation of the fleet
Closure of occurrence reports and audit findings
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Development Engineer (Aircraft Maintenance Programmes) UAE Job placement should hold a Degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace
At least three to five years of relative experience or demonstrable experience in an aircraft maintenance planning, engineering and or tech services environment
Good understanding of continuous airworthiness requirements
Good understanding of current aircraft planning systems and techniques and their relation to aircraft maintenance programmes
Knowledge on Safety/Airworthiness Awareness and Civil Aviation regulations
Team leader with strong supervisory skills
Good technical report writing skills.
Use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and airline/ MRO Systems
Excellent command of both verbal and written English skills. Spoken and written Arabic would be an advantage
Pro-active and self-motivated
