Job Summary: The Sr. System Analyst - Application Support is responsible for the support and maintenance of a variety of in-house developed software as well as off-the-shelf applications. Primarily Focused on customer facing applications and channels (Retail and Corporate Web Banking, Mobile Banking, etc.)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 application support to users
(*Tier 1: address known issues, fulfill standardized service requests, Tier 2: investigate and troubleshoot new issues, provide workaround solutions and implement fixes, coordinate internal and external development teams for issue resolution and problem correction)
Identify known errors and problem trends and ascertain the implementation of permanent solutions
Regularly evaluate the current state of the applications, identifying aspects which could be improved and recommend changes in order to facilitate those improvements.
Define application support standards and processes in alignment to the corporate guidelines and principles and write up the related documentation
Undertake software development activities and ensure timely and accurate delivery of the specifications
Undertake unit and system integration testing in order to meet software quality objectives
Prepare applications reports adhering to the Bank’s policies, procedures, and guidelines in order to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
Prepare technical manuals for users and operators of the applications
Train key users to the applications functionality, including the identification, troubleshooting and reporting of issues
Prepare Application System Recovery Plans
Continuously develop own expertise, optimising on-the-job and formal training opportunities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Sr. System Analyst - Application Support UAE Job placement should preferably a University degree in Computer Science
Professional qualifications in software development
At least four years of experience in supporting and\or developing Internet Banking, Mobile Banking applications and Payment systems
Working knowledge of Web platforms, application servers, database management systems, operating systems
Proficient in supporting/ developing J2EE applications, experience in web based programming and mobile application development
Good English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage
Understanding of Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Payments and Remittances
