Job Title:  ASE Geozone QHSE Manager

Job Summary: The ASE Geozone QHSE Manager steers the QHSE strategy for the countries in the Arabian Sea Geozone, the objective of which is the prevention and mitigation of risks to quality, safety, health and the environment.  The job scope requires interaction with department heads within the Geozone, key clients and where applicable government entities.  The QHSE Manager ensures adequate competent resources are in place to provide support to the business and verify compliance to company, contractual and country requirements. The Arabian Sea GZ comprises the following countries; Oman, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Iraq and Yemen.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • OEPS standards are implemented and in use
  • General risk assessments are available, conducted and reviewed at the facilities
  • Training and competence programs within the countries are implemented and progressing
  • Incident management protocols are implemented and followed
  • RADAR program is effectively implemented
  • Facilities are utilizing the prescribed system for control of safety data sheets
  • Facilities are reporting energy usage and waste generation data appropriately, and reduction initiatives are applied
  • Facilities and product lines are adhering to legislative requirements in relation to hazardous materials
  • Facilities have current spill response plans implemented
  • Product lines are operating in compliance with service quality plans
  • Supplier approval process is implemented and critical suppliers are identified / audited in a timely manner
  • Support is provided for tenders, contract reviews and customer audits
  • Real estate are supported with environmental due diligence
  • Supports any certification requirements for the facilities within in the geozone
  • Controls are in place to ensure compliance to government regulation related to occupational health, safety at work and environmental management
  • Supports the legal and compliance departments as required

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant should preferably hold a University Technical Degree
  • Qualified Auditor
  • Qualified Investigator
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as (operational risk management tools, integrated management systems)
  • Oilfield services technical experience
  • Document management and control experience
  • Process safety qualification
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East
  • Extensive travel within the Geozone, and occasionally to other international locations
  • Able to travel to remote locations within the Geozone
  • At least ten years of related industry experience or regulatory experience
  • Varied work experience with Tier 1 clients
  • Incident management / failure analysis
  • Reliability and statistical data interpretation
  • Extensive Weatherford enterprise and management systems knowledge
  • Ability to make presentations to multi-disciplined groups (including internal and external), run effective workshops and produce reports / documentation
  • Ability to work across multi-functional job roles or in isolation
  • Ability to communicate with frontline workforce and demonstrate visible leadership in the field and workshop
  • Experience working on International assignment
  • Professional Quality, Safety and Environmental Qualifications
  • Contract / Tender reviews
  • Time served in a management or senior advisory role
