Ensure that the inventory materials specifications and buying descriptions are complete, entered in the Computerized Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) supports Maintenance and Materials Management System in Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP).
Ensure that spare parts are linked to the respective Equipment Bill of Materials in coordination with the end users to enable the purchasing of right materials.
Direct and ensure accurate search and update of the specification reference to Engineering drawing, manufacturer catalogue, datasheet as well as technical.
Communication, coordination and negotiating skills with site Engineering discipline, inventory, Purchasing and project engineers, suppliers and manufacturers.
Manage the Team in executing the long term and yearly operational plans to provide the required contribution to the achievement of the Department and company's objectives.
Communicate Dragon Oil’s objectives and business context to ensure alignment and common understanding of the objectives, in particular the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives.
To manage the new stock proposals for the plants existing Assets in order to ensure their compliance to the engineering standards, with correctness of the catalogue inventory data and providing specialist advice in evaluating the stocking policy.
To manage the materials cataloguing process in ERP in order to ensure that the stock items data is correctly maintained as per the established Template Format, Item Assembly Structure and the assets link.
To provide technical support for the evaluation of vendors offers for stock materials and resolving technical discrepancies for the supplied stock and project materials.
To coordinate the search for materials specifications from overseas manufacturer, and to participate in the development / evaluation of alternate specifications, identifying original Equipment manufacturers and Inventory Data Sharing with other assets of Dragon Oil.
To manage the sourcing process of manufacturers or vendors for defunct manufacturer and obsolete equipment/spare parts.
To manage the interchangeability, standardization and generalization processes of proprietary materials in the inventory, analyze technical documents and specifications from Users, Inventory Control and Warehouse, authorize the changes input in ERP for optimum inventory cost.
Provide technical support and specialist advice on material buying description for the completeness and right sourcing.
To identify materials hazardous substances in order to ensure that the respective buying description complies with the relevant safety standards, clauses and codes of practice in accordance with the international safety regulations and respective data and documents are entered in ERP.
Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP):
Coordinate with Proponents for information on the materials details to incorporate in ERP.
Cleansing the existing Item Master and Min-Max master related to cataloguing and validate on yearly basis.
Support strategic team and Information Technology (IT) on implementing the ERP.
Coordinate with IT as required on technical aspects of cataloguing.
Contact with the systems support team for the identification of improvement areas and implementation of changes within existing and new systems.
