About Our Client:

Our client is a multinational FMCG business specialising in the production of personal and skin care brands. They are currently looking to expand the finance team and seeking and experienced Accounting Controller for the regional operations based out of Dubai.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   Reporting to the Finance Director, this Accounting Controller will be responsible to/for:

  • Ensure correct and full reconciliation of general ledger, sales ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable and account receivables
  • Ensure that accounts payables activities are monitored and executed on timely manner
  • Ensure that outstanding receivables are monitored with correct follow up and escalation
  • Release Sales Invoices and Credit blocks in SAP
  • Close activities for MENA on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Manage the accounting service provider (Genpact) on all accounting activities including matters / issues escalated by the Financial Accountants
  • Support internal audits and the yearly external audit
  • Main liaison for any accounting related issues by region and headquarters
  • The branch accounting for the Iran operations
  • Cash flow management including Intercompany Loans/Intercompany Deposits
  • The Treasury Information System (TIS) on a monthly basis
  • The 24 months Cash Flow Forecast during Forecast months in TIS (basis for the yearly Hedging)
  • Checking the DOP transactions and initiate necessary transfers to In House Bank (BDF AG)
  • Treasury reporting, CIS reporting, Ad hoc accounting reports

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for this Accounting Controller role will have a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and ideally a professional qualification.
  • At least three to five years of financial accounting experience within a multinational FMCG in the region.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to fit into the corporate culture.
