Job Summary: The Manager Planning - EM/GCC is responsible for maximizing the profitability of the EM Direct-To-Consumer business. In your role, you will be supporting the implementation of adidas DTC strategy consistently across all EM clusters, DTC channels, consulting the cluster DTC organizations and manging key projects and initiatives. The focus of this role will be to drive pre-season planning within the market for own retail and franchise.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Gather and provide detailed analysis and data in order to support a pre-seasonal OTB planning, buy- sign-off process and in-season tracking of aligned strategic direction
  • The Manager Planning - EM/GCC will work with Director / Sr. Manager in implementing the global DTC and Franchise strategy by working with Market stakeholders
  • Provide support the governance and timely execution of the seasonal commercial buy sign-off process in line with the DTC merchandising policy and Brand directives
  • Work closely with clusters to develop concrete action plans to improve the overall product buy from a commercial perspective
  • Actively contribute to the design of and implement a set of key Brick Mortar trading standards, including reporting, that help evaluate the business goals and ensure this is rolled out in the clusters
  • Provide support in the enhancement of all product planning systems and tools, liaising with the Business Solution Team to meet world class best practice
  • The Manager Planning - EM/GCC will define and design pre-season strategy for OR/FR and FO OTB Planning & Management following the market financial targets
  • Lead input to Market CTC Assortment Planning teams in regard to range needs by cluster
  • Lead market relevant OR/FR store tiering process following store tiering global guidance, in collaboration with CTC Assortment Planning teams

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a University degree and/or commercial training in the area of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing or Sales is preferred.
  • Six years of relevant functional experience in Retail/Merchandising/Buying Industry experience in Sports/Fashion/FMCG
  • Functional skills in Retail/Merchandising/Buying in Own Retail and/or eCommerce environments.
  • Knowledge of an Enterprise Reporting System (e.g. MicroStrategy) and/or ERP system is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Merchandising systems and processes is an advantage. Advanced user of MS Office suite of products Expert in Excel Fluent in English.
  • Additional languages are an advantage
