Job Summary: The Logistics Superintendent is in charge of keeping track about the stock levels of all drilling materials for well operations. Additionally this position coordinates material changes and minor fabrications with contracted workshops. Special attention is given to cost control and cost saving.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning of material and personnel movements in 6 day operational look ahead for all the well operations in conjunction with Personnel Logistics Administrator.
Work closely with Drilling Supervisors (DSVs) for vessel load out / backloads and optimise turnaround time to ensure cost effectiveness of logistics.
Collect materials information from Drilling Engineers and update the Drilling Materials Request (DMR) as per drilling sequence in conjunction with the Drilling Materials Supervisor.
Maintain cost efficiency by ensuring high cost rental items are back loaded at first available opportunity in conjunction with the Night DSV.
Pursue inventory reduction and avoid new purchases by utilisation / modification of available inventory.
Liaise closely with barge engineer and DSV for deck management and to get bulk, fuel, drill water, pot water and other consumables ordered in time.
Ensure the availability and suitability of equipment and services for operational requirements and issue call-off notices to suppliers.
The Logistics Superintendent will work between Rig and Jebel Ali Operations Support Base (JAOSB) Onshore Logistics / Materials team to expedite material stored in company warehouse to be shipped offshore in a timely manner.
Ensure full compliance with company safety procedures for all requirements carried out.
Keep internal QA/QC resources informed on call-offs in order to schedule call-off inspection and backload of failed equipment for investigations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a high school diploma; preferably, a bachelor degree in a technical discipline.
Completion of an advance course in supply chain management and logistics.
At least ten years of international experience at supervisory level covering all materials and logistics processes in the oilfield industry.
