Job Title:  Sales Development Manager - Asia

Job Summary: The Sales Development Manager - Asia will be responsible for review, communication and implementation of SOPs, work instructions and KPIs in the department, based on customer requirements, Corporate Integrated Management System, regulatory and industry standards, Quality Management Systems and departmental objectives and policies. Facilitate and represent the department at all external airline audits, change management processes, continuous improvement programmes & ensure all staff are updated on SOPs for relevant areas of operations. The Sales Development Manager is a key and proactive role to further grow the new targeted segments in the designated markets, as well as maintain and maximise business from existing clients, ensuring diversification of portfolio of customers.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyse growth of the assigned portfolio of clients, in order to increase their sales via new products, new segments, new rates, etc. Conduct production review of new and existing accounts.
  • Develop strategic sales planning (short, medium and long term)
  • Uses and manages destination feedback to increase sales
  • Contacts potential clients and generate new leads
  • Convert potential leads into new active clients
  • Manage sales activities using the Salesforce CRM system
  • Acts as a primary point of contact and obtains feedback on the products and services available to enable improvements.
  • Reviews daily, weekly and monthly business performance in line with targets and budgets, and takes action accordingly.
  • Work proactively with clients to improve their production e.g. conference calls, sales calls, presentations, attendance to trade shows.
  • Works proactively with other departments to maximise all opportunities.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must possess an A’ level standard or equivalent business management experience
  • Further relevant courses completed e.g. sales, presentations, leadership etc
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of the tourism industry, key bedbanks & tour operators in Asia.
  • Good knowledge and existing relationships with key players in Asia.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about sales and driving performance
  • Ability to build rapport and clearly communicate, both written and verbal at all levels including senior management
  • Results and target-orientated
  • Excellent time management skills, flexible in work timings and ability to travel. Role based in Dubai.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • Ability to work independently in a challenging and changing environment
  • Able to make decisions and be accountable
  • Capable of working effectively whilst travelling, developing tactics and motivated on the road
  • Good presentation and influencing skills
  • Decisionmaking skills while understanding impact on other areas of the business
  • Selfconfident and tenacious
  • Sales and Marketing experience in the Tourism Industry
  • Knowledge of Sales Force
  • Ability to speak Mandarin
