Job Title: Sr. Planning Engineer - Contract Management

Job Summary: The Sr. Planning Engineer - Contract Management will be responsible, (but not limited to), for reviewing extension of time impact and claims and where necessary prepare forensic planning and delay/ disruption analysis to determine the cause and effect. To assist with dispute resolution and claims planning. As Senior Planning Engineer, you will collaborate with Alstom Sub-System Project Managers, Senior Planning Engineers and other departments for delay analysis and claims
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keenly analyse project baseline and construction schedules, liaising with Project team heads and with works package contractors to ensure all programmes are consistent with the project schedule.
- Analyse and Demonstrate of entitlement to EoT occurring as a result of delay/ disruption/ loss of efficiency. Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to EoT, drafting of claim.
- Defining the notification requirements under the contract for EoT and setting up a standardised system to ensure compliance.
- Preparation in anticipation to counter claims and advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques.
- Responsible for choosing appropriate methods and perform prospective and retrospective delay analysis and disruption analysis.
- Provide assistance and advice in the management of known current and future potential claims and disputes.
- Work with project teams, which include planners, contracts and technical team, to collect together the correct information in preparation of claims/ counter claims.
- Project based tasks to include detailed analysis, quantification of delay and damages and strategy formation.
- Demonstration of critical paths impacts & consequent disruption.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidates should possess strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Strong skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of handling Aconex will be added advantage
- Flexibility & demonstrable creative problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as key member of the team
- Experience of working in the Middle East region and middle east contracts conditions is desirable
- Experience in Legal proceedings (arbitration, adjudication, etc..).
- Experience in Schedule Impact Analysis methods and Claims.
- Have experience in construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis.
- Knowledge in Primavera P6 and also should have knowledge of claims digger/ Schedule comparisons software.
- Should possess experience in claims planning / scheduling type role.
- Should have previous experience in delivering delay analysis including schedule analysis and report writing
- Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential
