Our client is a privately owned organisation with its Head Office in Dubai. Its core business involves the management of private assets (primarily property assets) which are located in various parts of the world. Working in a prestigious, boutique office environment, the team is very close knit and highly corporate.
Job Summary: The role of Executive Financial Assistant is not the traditional one; it is a varied and multifaceted role, which involves providing financial support, as well as normal executive assistant and administrative duties to the CFO. The CFO travels extensively and it is not always based in the UAE, thus this role will take on some of the financial responsibilities in his absence from the Dubai office and will involve considerable liaison across multi time zones. The role will encompass managing all bank reconciliations, expenses, payments to suppliers and negotiating new agreements with suppliers, assisting with budget and some reporting responsibility. A finance background is vitally important, even though there is an element of EA support to the CFO in terms of diary and travel management. This is a unique role, taking on two core specific job functions and will suit a highly organised and analytical individual.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
At least four years of professional experience in a finance role. Additionally, you must have provided administrative and travel support within the framework of a previous role.
Previous experience of Excel will be required; the use of Pivot tables and v and h look up in particular.
Experience in the preparation of financial reports will also mean that PowerPoint skills will be advanced.
It is important that the candidate understands this is a small office environment, hence we are seeking a very disciplined candidate, with a ‘can do’ attitude, who possess a willingness to contribute, determinedly and professionally, whether the task is large or small.
Attention to detail, coupled with discretion is also a key factor to success in this role.
Excellent research and analytical skills, combined with common sense and negotiation acumen are vital in this position.
