Job Summary: The Teaching Assistant - Al Forsan Nursery will be supporting the delivery of first class quality education and childcare for young children aged 2-4 years.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To deliver a motivating and stimulating educational programme to ensure successful learning for young children of all abilities
• To provide excellent pastoral care and support to children within a nurturing learning environment
• To developing appropriate visual aids and teaching resources to support effective learning
• To make imaginative and adaptable use of a whole range of educational resources
• To promote the development of all aspects of children's learning in accordance with the EYFS framework
• To report to the Lead Teachers and work in accordance with their guidance and direction
• To monitor and record the children’s on-going achievements in line with nursery policy

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

• The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
• A valid certificate in paediatric first aid (or willingness to attend this training)
• A minimum of 1 year of postgraduate teaching experience in Early Childhood Education
• A secure knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• A secure knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• An understanding of Health and Safety for young children
• An understanding of the role of the “Key Person”
• Experience of collaborating within staff teams to share good practice
• Experience of financial management and budget planning
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
• Unquestionable suitability to work with young children
