About SWIFT:

The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) provides a network that enables financial institutions worldwide to send and receive information about financial transactions in a secure, standardized and reliable environment.  SWIFT also sells software and services to financial institutions, much of it for use on the SWIFTNet Network, and ISO 9362. Business Identifier Codes (BICs, previously Bank Identifier Codes) are popularly known as "SWIFT codes".


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer needs / market opportunities and achieve business growth by building and maintaining long term customer relationships with primarily medium accounts and/or developing market infrastructures and/or implementing initiatives of medium size/complexity.
  • Formulate plans for medium sales account / infrastructure development / initiatives in order to achieve targeted sales objectives and generate revenue in an optimal, costbeneficial way.
  • Implement plans towards assigned medium customers/market infrastructure by coordinating and tracking all activities
  • Render support in the implementation of larger plans/projects/programmes.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for medium sized clients and/or support as a center of expertise on a specific area/initiative.
  • Represent SWIFT and promote products and services in order to grow our business by participating to (region) fairs and forums and meetings.
  • The Account Director will work closely with SWIFT other divisions/departments, commercial team managers and members in order to provide a coordinated service and integrated solution to assigned customers.
  • Send feedback internally market intelligence, customer feedback, product issues and other relevant information.
  • Acquire and maintain skills and knowledge.
  • Share knowledge about customers, products markets and methodology.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a University degree or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in sales and relationship management preferably having focused on selling software and services to financial institutions
  • Good overall knowledge of the financial industry
  • Strong selling skills and focus on achieving sales targets
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at executive level
  • Goo team player
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility and availability to travel (approx. 30%-50% of time)
