Job Title:  Executive-Accountant

Job Summary:  The Executive-Accountant will be responsible to manage Bank Reconciliation’s for property sales and other related business. Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.  This role requires candidates with hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Qracle + Yardi). This would work within the treasury team overseeing treasury and insurance in accordance to department timelines and company policy and procedures.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Satements ( BRS ) for all the accounts across the group.
  • Intimate / Follow up with the respective AR/AP teams for the pending entries in the BRS
  • Liaise with the banks for any transaction related queries
  • Opening Escrow accounts and arranging bank guarantees
  • Arranging Letter of Credits for suppliers
  • Arrange fund transfers between banks/between verticals
  • Administrative jobs related to banks – preparing letters for signatory changes, account closures, etc.
  • Insurance – Managing Claims , tracking claim status , liaising with Insurance Brokerage Agent on various transaction related issues and tracking the Claim report on a monthly basis

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • A professional accounting degree is a must, need to have experience in Oracle GL and cash module. Needs to have browsing navigation knowledge of Oracle AR for investigation and also as due to VAT as the bank will be charging us 5% on charges which we will have to claim back from the authorities.
  • Proven working experience in managing bank reconciliations independently.
  • Knowledge of managing escrow accounts would be a plus.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask as well as have strong attention to details.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to communicate across various departments with the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle R12 and Yardi.
