Job Summary:  The Learning and Development Executive META will enable the ROPU META (Regional Operating Unit Middle East, Turkey and Africa) achieve the business priorities by bringing learning solutions that enhance the skills, capabilities and mindset of employees, in collaboration with the L&D,TM and OD Manager. To enable, develop and grow the employees within the ROPU META whilst being in compliance of Boehringer Ingelheim Policies and regulations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

 Training Needs Identification and delivery

  • To maintain regular contact with HR Business Partners so as to understand current learning and development needs within their teams.
  • To provide consultancy and solutions on the best approach to address identified development needs.
  • To design, develop and deliver customized Training solutions where expertise is available.
  • To ensure that logistics pertaining to the trainings are in place.
  • To collate feedback from participants and the business, on training outcome and impact.
  • Management Development Program

FLM (First Line Manager Program)

  • To manage and implement that OPU (Operating Unit) identified trainers are appropriately trained and supported throughout the program.
  • To drive the participant nomination process
  • To drive the delivery of the modules within the respective OPUs.
  • To manage and monitor that the required logistics are in place
  • To measure, analyze and assess feedback, ensuring ROI.
  • To advise additions, changes and enhancement to the program based on feedback and rising business needs.
  • Leadership Development Programs

Leadership Journey

  • To act as the first point of contact with our external vendor.
  • To drive the nomination process with key business stakeholders.
  • To ensure all purchasing requirements and logistical requirements are met, including but not excluding costing, contracting, purchase order set up.
  • To inform and actively provide updates and feedback, with participants and their line managers to ensure engagement and active participation.
  • To act as a sounding board and advisor for content co-creation and design.
  • Collate and analyze feedback and propose appropriate corrective measures to maximize program impact.

Coaching and mentoring

  • To lead the Leadership Journey related 360 debrief coaching with participants.
  • To design and develop tools that will assist employees and their managers integrate observations into development actions.
  • To actively support specific employees where coaching is the identified learning approach, upon agreement with the HR Business Partner and employees line manager

Training Consultancy

  • To manage the identification and selection of external vendors, when internal expertise to run trainings is not available.
  • To provide advice and guide around facilitation techniques, to other departments when functional trainings are required.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Psychology or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a multinational environment, within the field of training, learning and development.
  • Previous experience in designing, developing and delivering training.
  • 5-10% travel requirements within the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
  • Fluency in English. French and/or Turkish language skills would be an advantage.

  • Influencing Skills, communication skills, creativity and innovation, managing different stakeholders both internal and external are the competencies critical for success of this position.
