Expo2020 is a unique event organization tasked to host the next World Expo in 2020. This event is intended to be transformational for UAE, the Region and the Planet. The purpose of Expo’s are educational and social, showcasing innovation and solutions for the purpose of education and improving the lives of people around the world

The role of the Intern is to commit to learn about the assigned departments/divisions within Expo2020 during the period of the internship, and gain work experience through the project‘s exposure in order to acquire knowledge, skills and capabilities for work readiness, and gain knowledge about mega events’ knowhow and the making of Expo2020.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• The internship program is designed on the core understanding of the purpose and to the benefit of the student and Expo 2020;
• The selection rotates around "National" undergrads; motivation, relevant field and successful convincing the hosting department during the interviews;
• The content of the program dictates concrete objectives: gain industry knowledge, Expo 2020 offering, the department purpose and express tangible deliverable besides contribution of idea or process improvement;
• At the end of the program, the intern is to provide 15 mins presentation, receive recommendation letter and if suitable, an offer letter to joining after graduation along a token of 3000 AED in form of Expo's appreciation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• In last year of the course of Bachelor or Diploma degree from an accredited university in one of the industry relevant disciplines e.g. Finance, Marketing and Communications, Real Estate and Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Event Operations, Procurement, Organizational Development, Business and Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, other;
• Good written and verbal communication skills, Effective, Presentation skills, Demonstrated ability to cope with changing environments, Planning and Organizational Skills, Quality and Detail Orientation;
• Ability to interface with various stakeholders at different levels;
• A positive, “can-do” attitude, Fit the Expo 2020 values/culture;
• Motivated to learn, contribute and achieve.
