Job Title: Admission & Registration Officer (Al Dhafrah) - Temporary Contract

Reports to: Registrar and Sr. Manager of Admissions Senior Manager, Admissions & Recruitment.
Job Summary: The Admission & Registration Officer will assist with the interpretation and implementation of ADU admission and registration policies and procedures for enrolling new students and supervise the efficient and effective communication and implementation of approved policies and procedures and retention of students in Post Graduate programs .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment :
Participates in recruitment visits in UAE including, but not limited to education fairs, open days, company and partners visits, education exhibitions, mall booths and road shows.
Supports the student recruitment team with the implementation of Student Recruitment Strategy to increase the quality and quantity of applications/inquiries, in local, regional and international markets.
Develops and maintains good relationships with institutions, partners, government offices, employers, strategic partners, career advisors, and recruitment representatives in UAE and abroad.
Meets with potential students and conduct informative presentations to meet individual registration target.
Attends international students’ queries in person or by email and telephone; attends local students’ queries either on the counter, email or phone.
Calls prospectus students who fail to register for courses after being admitted at the university to identify problems and advise them on action.
Oversees the distribution of publications/ recruitment / marketing materials, including the prospectuses, catalogues, leaflets, etc.
Documents all calls with regards to caller inquiries accurately using CRM.
Provide information on matters pertaining to academic requirements and procedures, curriculum, admission requirements and general university information
Screens applications with recommendations regarding admission criteria and send to colleges for evaluation; updates ERP records according to colleges’ decisions.
Informs students on their admission status and issues students’ admissions letters.
Provides applicants with personalized support and serves as a source of information on admission policies and procedures to ensure the smooth transition of students from applicants to registrants.
Attends escalated students’ complaints if not resolved by other team member; involves the Senior Manager of Admissions when needed.
Follows up with newly admitted students regarding exams, registration dates, payment deadlines, missing documents, orientation dates, etc.); Provides campus tours if needed.
Coordinates with the colleges the credit transfer requests of transferred students, arranges meetings for transferring students with chairs if necessary.
Verifies students’ records transferring from other universities; follows up on Credit Transfer applications to inform students with evaluation results and Contacts educational zone / universities/ MOHSER to follow up on equivalency or credit transfer when needed.
Monitors admissions’ related logs/databases regularly to ensure the completeness and accuracy of students’ data.
Ensures that students’ contact details and documents are accurately entered in ERP
Revoke applications that are no longer valid.
Maintains admission general email (Dadmissions@adu.ac.ae).
Generates ID , usernames, passwords for students and prepares admission letters or other required letter for visa or to whom it may concern as requested by students.
Consults students on the sections timing, and emails the schedule with information on payment deadlines, calendar, and orientation date.
Coordinate the line manager to get the signed admission letter
Performs other work-related tasks that maybe assigned by the immediate superior.
Provides assistance to first time registrants on selecting the courses and registration of courses;or withdrawals and course drops.
Performs registration related entries on the system such as waivers, , override registration capacity with approval from the deans, etc.
Coordination related to degree audit and declaration of minor
Follow-up on academic, missing documents, attendance warnings, grade appeals, credit transfer and dismissals
Oversees the implementation of university policies and procedures regarding student registration and recording of information.
Assists with attrition studies by contacting students to run attrition surveys with Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IRE).
Generates accurate reports on prospect students, applicants, admitted, registrants.
Develops reports related to enrolment progress Student enrolment and Student retention, attrition rates.
Participate in improvement and development of student related statistical reports and assess admission procedures for improvement.
Participates in information sessions, student orientation, exhibitions and others to provide information about the university and the programs offered.
Assist in the development and delivery of on/off-campus events and programs for counselling groups and individuals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline such as Business Administration
Commerce or equivalent from an accredited institute
The applicant must have at least three to five years' experience in a higher education institution
Experience with student registration and Admission inside UAE.
Knowledge of UAE rules & regulations related to university admissions and local culture.
MS Office and Computer skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly and accurately
Excellent Communication skills
Customer Service skills
Ability to work hard and under pressure
Team player with positive attitude
Master degree preferred.
English is a must, Arabic is required.
